The Biltmore Hotel, a National Historic Landmark located in the heart of Coral Gables, in conjunction with Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association (GMBHA) recently announced the appointment of Matthias Kammerer as Chairman of the GMBHA Board of Directors.
Having contributed to Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association as an active member of the Board of Directors for the past 16 years, Matthias will now lead the Board’s directional initiatives, including fundraising and outreach activities, as well as addressing key industry issues that impact the hospitality industry in the South. Florida.

A seasoned industry veteran, Kammerer served as General Manager of the Biltmore Hotel for nearly a decade and has over 35 years of hospitality and tourism experience in South Florida and around the world. . Originally from Europe, Kammerer has international hospitality experience in leadership roles at cruise ships, resorts, condominiums, spas and golf courses. He is also experienced in opening and managing legally complex mixed-use facilities with multiple budgets and stakeholders. His expertise and seasoned career make him an ideal chair for the GMBHA.

Matthias replaces Florencia Tabeni, who has held the association’s presidency since 2019. A strong supporter of the organization for almost a decade, she will continue her role as a member of the board of directors.
