McNicholas & Associates Appoints Fred Piccolo as Vice President of Public Affairs


McNicholas & Associates announced Friday that Fred Piccolo joined the firm as Vice President of Public Affairs.

Piccolo served as governor. Ron DeSantis‘ Director of Communications in 2020 and previously held the same position for former Speakers of the House Richard Corcoran and Jose Oliva.

He built a lengthy resume in campaign work before entering the public sector, having served as a travel aide to the U.S. Senate candidate and former Florida secretary of state. Catherine Harris as well as occupying the position of deputy political director on Bill McCollumsuccessful campaign for the post of Attorney General.

After a two-year stint as a former US Representative. Dennis Ross‘ Chief of staff, he returned to the world of the countryside with a job alongside his brother Tom Piccolo and Anthony Pedicini at the political consultancy Strategic Image Management.

As vice president of public affairs, Piccolo will work in the Tallahassee office of McNicholas & Associates, a multi-state firm that provides a full range of public relations and communications services, including crisis communications, media procurement media, grassroots outreach and social media management.

Piccolo earned a dual bachelor’s degree in American history and economics from the University of Central Florida, where he was a College Republican leader and served in the Student Government Association. He went on to earn a law degree from Stetson University, where he served as a member of the Moot Court Board.
