I’m running for the Autauga County School Board, District 1 because I want to create solutions. For more than 25 years, I have had the opportunity to serve children and their families in the classroom, through collaboration with school systems, state and federal governments, higher education, businesses and community partners.
Currently, I am an assistant professor at Faulkner University. Prior to that, I was director of the Alabama Reading Initiative, where I worked to implement Alabama’s literacy law, hire regional support staff, and work closely with with other sections of the Alabama Department of Education. Prior to being employed at the Alabama State Department of Education, I was Principal/Assistant Secretary of the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education, where I led efforts of the department and coordinated all aspects of research and program evaluation and supervised professional learning and higher education efforts. Education.
I have managed local, state and federal grants and funding streams.
Current and previous job responsibilities and professional training have allowed me to demonstrate my success in developing, implementing and monitoring successful programs for children. As a school board member, I will be committed to engaging the public and ensuring that Autauga County has the best schools in the state of Alabama.
With the election fast approaching, I ask you to vote Tracye Cutts-Strichik for the Autauga County School Board.
